The artist was born on November 26 1986 in Santa Monica California in the United States of America. She is the child of her father Vincenzo and her mother Valerie Barba. In the year 2006, she and her parents moved with their family members to Point Pleasant New Jersey. She completed her education at Red Bank Catholic High School, New Jersey. She then attended Catholic University, where she graduated with a degree in architecture. As well, she played the violin since the age 4 and was known as the Violin Lady. Performances by her led to the use of her nickname. Children from her community were taught violin playing through her. In the year 19, she entered her sixth American Idol season and performed one single Free, 1976. Her audition was canceled when she reached the 16th spot in American Idol.
